Plot

Chun Bong-Sam starts out working as a tout and eventually works his way to become a wealthy merchant.

Notes

1. Takes over the KBS2 Wed. & Thu. 21:55 time slot previously occupied by “Assembly.”
2. Based on the novel “Gaekju” by Kim Joo-Young (published from June, 1979 to February, 1983 in daily newspaper The Seoul Shinmun).
3. Korean title “Gaekju” literally translates to “Broker” or “Commission Merchant.” The word “Gaekju” was used during the Joseon Dynasty period and has not been used in the present days.
4. First script reading took place July 18, 2015 at KBS Annex Broadcasting Station in Yeouido, South Korea. The first script reading took place for more than 13 hours.
